Arielle Dombasle (real name Arielle Sonnery de Fromental) was born on April 27, 1953 in Norwitch, CT. She spent her childhood in Mexico, where her grandfather was a French ambassador. She learnt classical dance < founded her theatre band at 12. In 1976, she left Mexico < moved to Paris, to study acting < singing < went to the Conservatoire.
In 1978, Arielle played her first role in Eric Rohmer's "Perceval Le Gaulois", she became the director's muse until 1983. In 1981, she directed her first film "Chassé-Croisé", followed by "Les Pyramides Bleues" in 1987. In June 1993, she married Bernard-Henri Lévy. Despite her roles in cinema < theatre, she became a singer, releasing her album Extase in 2002, an album with Fauré < Gounod in electronic version. Encouraged by her audience, Arielle released her album Amor Amor in 2004. In 2006, she played in the film "Nouvelle Chance". The same year, she released her album C'Est Si Bon, including covers of American songs of Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe < Billie Holiday. In 2008, Arielle played in "La Possibilité D'Une Île" < "Sagan".
