Line Up : Eivind (Guitars) / Rune (Guitars, Bass, Samples, Sounds) / Monica (Vocals, Synths) / Tor-Arne (Drums)In 1991 ATROX released their first demo Mind Shadow. After this demo it took two other years for the second one to appear, Dead Leaves. And then, during the summer of 94 three other tracks were recorded. It was after this that the band received an offer for a 7" EP (Danza Ipnotica) and an album (Head Not Found). Both the 7" EP Silence the Echoes and the debut album Mesmerized were released in April 97 and received good response from the press in Europe.
ATROX' second album Contentum was recorded in April 1999 in Tico-Tico Studios in Finland. This record was much appreciated by the press for its originality, for Monika's conspicuous singing and its challenging character. In reviews we read: "For all those who take a delight in a schizophrenic masterpiece, they all should fall back on Atrox" (Orkus (DE) 8,5/10) "For me this album is a more than worthy addition to the gothic metal scene." (Aardschok (NL) 81/100) < "Bye or Die" in Psycho! (IT). ATROX' Doomy, Schizophrenic Metal < their own imaginative approach make their music a piece of art.
Terrestrials is even more exceptional than Contentum, and therefore certainly very interesting, and definitely not to forget challenging. And this challenge we leave to you.
