Three years later she had a Top Five smash with “Mr. Walker It’s All Over.” Billie Jo Spears hung around the charts for several more years without any sizable hits until 1975 when, back on United Artists, she had a major #1 Country hit with a romantic up tempo song called “Blanket On The Ground.” Over the next half dozen years Billie Jo Spears was a regular on the charts, and every so often she’d come through with another radio hit. Her bold, distinctive Country delivery made Billie Jo Spears a Country mainstay throughout the latter half of the ‘70s.
