Damizza got his start working at KPWR in Los Angeles, California. As Senior Director of Programming and Artist Relations, he forged friendships with numerous hip hop artists and other entertainers. Damizza was named #4 most powerful people in hip hop by The Source (source issue # 113 feb 99') .[citation needed]

In 2007, Damizza released a collaboration album with Butch Cassidy, Back B4 You're Lonely; a solo album is expected in 2008.

He is currently working with J. Marshall Craig on a book on his life.[citation needed]

Babyree Records

Damizza has also been working hard on building his label Baby Ree Records. He along with his label recently made a power move, by signing award winning (Grammy and Emmy) blues musicians to the label. The "LA BLUES ALLIANCE" is a supergroup of Blues musician's (Keb' Mo, Mike Finnigan, Mike Post etc.) making timeless music, the album "What a life" is due in stores June 26th 2007 on Baby Ree Records. In addition he has also been busy signing Producers, singers and songwriters to his label including Carlos "Los" Ramirez a 20 year old from Santa Barbara, CA credited for Producing Butch Cassidy and Damizza's hit single "CRUZIN". You can expect Damizza and Baby Ree Records new roster to hit the airwaves all over the world.
