Based in the Baden-Württemberg area of Germany, the gritty, punky, and fun Debbie Rockt! is a five-girl band that came together in 2002 under the name Deep Mind, which was soon changed to Skylla. After two albums as Skylla and a couple personnel issues, they stabilized their line-up in 2006, changed their name to Debbie Rockt!, and made their national television debut on the popular German show VIVA Live. The Sony/BMG label released their first single, <#8220;Ich Rocke,<#8221; in early 2007 but it was their second single <#8212; a cover of Falco<#8217;s <#8220;Nie Mehr Schule<#8221; <#8212; that got them noticed. Their debut album, Egal Was Ist<#8230;, landed that summer.
