Falkenbach is a one man project formed by Vratyas Vakyas (reportedly of Icelandic origin but I'm not sure whether that's true or not). He started writing music around 1989 and between 1991 and 1993 he played guitar in a band called Crimson Gates which released two demos and did two live shows. The band was then put to rest since they had decided to stop the band as soon as one band member left. Since the 1997 album was released not much was heard from Falkenbach but now (May 2003) it is announced that a new album is in the works. In the mean time Vratyas formed his own viking / heathen metal label called Skaldic Art Productions in his hometown of Düsseldorf, Germany.
