The mad scientist Optimus Crime can usually be found in his lab creating twisted monstrosities of musical mayhem. During one such experiment, the unexpected occured! A truck full of broken, abandoned toys headed for a dusty shelf broke an axle, skidded and crashed into the lab. The combination of all the sorrow and bittersweet memories stored in the toys and the musical and technological wonders in Crime's lab produced:

Rainbow Blight-- the Living Doll Like one of the Abominable Dr. Phibes Automaton musicians suddenly gaining a mind of it's own, Blight brings technicolor madness to the entity known as Hate in the Box. Her costumes echo cartoons and dolls brought to nightmarish life. Relics of childhood and death decorate her weapon of choice- the mic stand.

MephisToy, the latest addition to our toychest, was created by the devil himself to corrupt the hearts and minds of all who hear his melodies. After some experimentation he found that only the bass guitar has tones thick and low enough to disguise his subliminal messages. A frequent mischief maker in Satan's ranks, he now plys his trade on earth and found a perfect place to raise a little hell...with Hate in the Box!

The toys that started it all never did reach their intended destination, but the world got Hate in the Box in return.
