Gothic Metal from Florence featuring the operatic singing of Cecilia Boninsegni and the “mystic voices” of Anna Vignozzi. The group was assembled in 1995 by vocalist / guitarist Luca Liotti and bassist Leonardo Moretti. Adding drummer Claudio Tovagli INNER SHRINE made their presence felt on the Italian Metal scene with the 1996 demo recording simply called 'Inner Shrine'. The septet that signed to Dragonheart Records for the 'Nocturnal Rhymes Entangled In Silence' debut the following year introduced soprano vocalist Cecilia Boninsegni, second singer Sara Galleni and keyboard man Pierfrancesco Cigliata.

INNER SHRINE was racked by line up changes upon release of their first album. As such, Liotti, Moretti and Boninsegni pulled in singer Anna Vignozzi and keyboard player Nicola Baronti for the February 2000 sophomore outing 'Fallen Beauty'.
