There are 2 artists under the name Jakarta. 1- Jakarta is a dance project of Hype Traxx label. The members are Danny Wild, Alan Pride, Dave King, and David Kane.
Singles: “One Desire” and “Superstar”.
2- Jackarta is a band formed in 1981 in Belgrade. They released their debut album Maske za dvoje (“Masks for Two”) in 1984 in the following lineup: Igor Popovi<#263; (vocals), Jane Par<#273;ovski (guitar), Rade Bulatovi<#263; (bass guitar), Miloš Petrovi<#263; (keyboard) and Ivan Fece (a former Luna member, drums). The album was produced by Saša Habi<#263;. Album brought pop funk hits “Spiritus”, “Piromanija”, “Dama sa severa”, “Pozovi me”. With their second album Bomba u grudima (“Bomb in the Chest”), recorded with new drummer Miroslav Karlovi<#263;, they moved to pop-rock sound. The album was not well accepted by the critics and Jakarta disbanded in 1986.
