Jester’s Funeral play modern intense metal. Since their first release Labyrinth from 1999 the young Germans impress with their modern mixture of Metallica and Blind Guardian. After this their debut their were entitled as "one of Germany’s most talented rock bands" (metal hammer), journalist from heavy, oder was and vampster.com called the five guys around drummer and songwriter Bastian Emig "the top of Germany’s undground" after the release of QuickSilverLight in 2000. With a slightly changed line-up and a new distributor (Alive) the third album of Germany’s metal-hopefuls will be released march 17th 2003.

shifting:skywards combines thrashy but yet up-to-date riffing with extraordinary hook-lines, far beyond the well-known "singalong" melodies of comparable young bands. Together with catchy choirs, a heavy-rocking production and the variable vocals of frontman Stefan Schmidt, Jester’s Funeral will be able to convince fans of metallica, blind guardian and nevermore at the same time, as long as they are interested in non-conform, progressive arrangements.

Jester’s Funeal’s shifting:skywards will be released march 17th 2003. Together with a 16-pages-booklet, the band gives ist own statement concerning "copy kills music", willing to convince fans and journalists at a time.

The two previous albums, Labyrinth and QuickSilverLight have been re-released October 21st 2002 via the new distribution Alive as mid-price-albums.
