Career
He used to belong to the group "Kid Power Posse" and the duo "Déificos," meaning "belong to God." recorded his first album of Spanish reggae, “Los Nenes De La Medicina” in 1992. Johnny Prez made Spanish reggae popular in Puerto Rico. Since then, he has released three Reggaetón albums, "El Dragón" in 2003, "The Prezident" in 2005, which reached number 14 in Billboard's Latin albums' chart, and "The Knockouts" in 2007.[1] However, many feel he has not received the recognition that he deserves. Despite not being a major mainstream artist, he continues to make great music, even with the major changes that Reggaetón music is going through. He is currently working on his fourth Reggaetón album, set to be released in 2009.
Johnny Prez est un artiste de Reggaeton habitant à Rio Piedras (Puerto Rico). Il a apartenu au groupe "Kid power posse" et le duo "Deificos", qui signifie "Appartient à dieux". Il a enregistré son premier album de Reggae espagnol, "Los nenes de la medicina" en 1992. Johnny Prez crée du reggae espagnol populaire a Puerto Rico. Depuis, il a publié 3 albums de Reggaeton, "El dragon" en 2003, "The prezident" en 2005, qui a atteint la 14 ème place aux Billboard's latin albums' chart, et "The knockouts" en 2007. Cependant, beaucoup pensent qu'il n'a pas reçu la reconnaissance qu'il mérite. En dépit de ne pas etre un artiste au grand public, il continue à faire de la bonne musique, meme avec les changements majeur que traverse le Reggaeton. Il travaille actuellement sur son 4ème album de reggaeton, pret à etre publié en 2009.
