KIDD STAR, born in Washington, DC < raised in Vestal, NY, started his career out of college by funding and promoting the famous underground rave parties “Bass Wars”. Passing out flyers hand to hand allowed KIDD STAR to get recognized in the scene quickly. From that starting point he began getting involved in every facet of music and the music business. Weather it was behind the DJ booth or behind the desk, he learned anything he could. KIDD STAR’s musical career was put into motion as a roadie setting up equipment for DJ T-Nice (Charlotte, NC) which turned into a substituting DJ gig for him whenever DJ T-Nice was unavailable. A couple months behind the turntables and KIDD STAR began DJing at local underground raves, many of which he promoted. He played alongside some of the industry’s biggest names and quickly made himself known with his off the wall, high energetic, no holds bar, motley crew style shows. KIDD STAR’s DJing progressed and soon transformed into Remixing. While continuing learning how to DJ < Remix, KIDD STAR also planned for the future and started building the foundation for his Record Label, Live Wire Empire, by scouting and managing Artists as well as learning the business side of the music industry.

KIDD STAR then formed the group 3 Bad Brothaz, with DJ Kontrol < DJ Hyrdaulic, later to be replaced with DJ Mike B. Devoting 8 plus years to his group, 3 Bad Brothaz, KIDD STAR < Live Wire Empire released 3 full length CD’s, countless mix-cds, a #1 hit single on Atlanta’s Q100, remix work for European Billboard Artists, branded e-Hop, were on several radio mix-shows, were featured remixers on Beatport < CrooklynClan, toured all over the country and held several residencies at some of Atlanta’s biggest < best nightclubs. Always pushing the envelope and after years of touring, KIDD STAR began focusing on original production and co-produced several underground releases, “Can I Be A Rockstar”, “Baddest DJ” < “In Tha Back” before producing his first release, the southern anthem “Miss My Baby” which continues to reach audiences everywhere with it’s catchy hook and upbeat feel.

Constantly moving forward and preparing for the future with not only his production but his label as well, KIDD STAR has been acquiring new talent for Live Wire with the signing of Starr Jamezz (Decatur, GA) and Kayno (Augusta, GA) whom are featured on his new album. Just this year KIDD STAR signed onto the historic AV8 Records, home of Fat Man Scoop, as an exclusive remixer. In addition, he is currently working with newly formed production group Rat Bastardz to further develop e-Hop and bring a different element into the remix world.

KIDD STAR’s commitment to the growth of e-Hop < The E-Hop Brigade started with Live Wire’s trademarking of e-Hop in 2006. Coming into the 10th year of business, KIDD STAR < Live Wire Empire continue to grow at an alarming rate with the commitment to e-Hop and providing the best and most exciting production < live entertainment. Now partnered with John Abbey < Ishi Records, LIVE WIRE EMPIRE has entered into the next level with proven winners and plans to continue < add to that winning streak.
