Biography of Lennie Moreno
Before they began working together, Lennie Moreno and Lady Ginseng were pouring their innermost thoughts into their personal musical styles — his being hip-hop, hers being urban/r<b — while growing up in their respective cities of Montreal and New York. A few years later, Lennie met Lady Ginseng as he searched for a female singer that could reach female listeners with her voice and her words. After collaborating on one song (“It’s Hard to Find”), their partnership was cemented, and they’ve been perfecting their writing together as they dare to express their thoughts, dreams, fears, and opinions on deeply personal issues and topics that affect the world. Combined with slick beats, Lennie’s lightning-fast words convey raw passion, anguish, love, and concern for others, which are echoed and complemented by Lady Ginseng’s heartfelt lyrics sung with sweet melodies and layered harmonies. From their dance hit “Stress Killer” to the darkest of their songs (“Pain is Taking Over”), Lennie and Lady Ginseng strive to instill positive messages in their brand of music, which is quickly burning up the charts on SoundClick (three Top 10 songs and one #1 song) and has already garnered nearly 3 million plays on MySpace and counting…
