Linkup was the third band created by French "Popstars" in 2003. That year, the show was titled "The Duel". 2 bands, a boysband < a girlsband, were created, one of them would win. The boysband, Linkup, won the duel. The band members were Lionel Tim (Valence), Matthieu (Strasbourg) < Otis. Their first single, "Mon Etoile", was a cover of a foreign song, previously sung in Spanish, "Si Los Angeles Se Rinden" : the song has been N°1 in the French Top 50 in December 2003. Unfortunately, the second single "Une Seconde D'Eternité" < their album Notre Etoile were less successful. Linkup recorded a duet with Blue, a French/English cover of "Bubblin'". In August 2004, Linkup disbanded < Matthieu started his solo career under the name Matt Pokora.
