Lio (real name Wanda Ribeiro Furtado Tavares de Vasconcelos) was born on June 17, 1962 in Mangualde, Portugal. Her family settled in Belgium in 1968. Brilliant but a little rebel, the young girl liked the punk mode, started music in 1976 < chose her stage name in "Barbarella". In 1979, she recorded her first single "Banana Split" < the young girl was in the spotlight. Her singles were successful but Lio wanted to try cinema. In 1985, she played in "Elsa Elsa" < got a certain talent. Her album Pop Model (1986) was a success, including "Les Brunes Comptent Pas Pour Des Prunes". After that, her albums were more confidential.
Lio got 6 children : Nubia, Igor, Esmeralda, Garance, Léa < Diego. She continued her career in the film "Mariages!" in 2004 < released her album Dites Au Prince Charmant in 2006, with touching sincerity.
