The name <#8220;Polaroid<#8221; originates from two words that described a preceding relationship with one of the associates of Polaroid. This member dated a gentlewoman that had been diagnosed with a <#8220;bipolar disorder<#8221; (manic-depressive illness). The particular Polaroid associate endured the illness for months feeling like a robot and/or <#8220;droid<#8221;, in a sense. The Polaroid colleague finally took the words bi-polar and incorporated the word droid and subsequently resulted with this concept we call: <#8220;Polaroid<#8221;.
