Rookie of the Year started as the acoustic solo project of Ryan Dunson while he was living in Florida. He recorded their debut record "Having to Let Go" in Cleveland TN and began touring. Shortly after it's release, ROTY signed to One Eleven Records, who then re-packaged and released "Having To Let Go".

In the winter of 2004, the line up was completed when Mike Kamerman and Pat Murphy joined TJ Holt and Ryan.

Since then, Rookie of the Year has toured the country numerous amounts of times. They just wrapped up recording of their next record. The full-length album, "The Goodnight Moon" was produced by Ed Rose and will be available on April 11, 2006.

With a heavy touring schedule and a new album about to drop, ROTY is the band to watch in 2006!
