Stéphane Sanseverino was born on October 9, 1961 in Paris, France. His parents were Italian. He followed his father everywhere in the world < discovered Gypsy music. He turned to acting then founded his band, Les Voleurs De Poules, in 1992. After one album < many concerts, the band split < Sanseverino recorded his first album Le Tango Des Gens, released in 2001 < successful. Sanseverino got 3 awards : Great Prize of Academy Charles Cros < Le Timbre De Voix in 2001 < "Scene Revelation" at the Victoires de la Musique in 2003.
Sanseverino < his guitar went on tour in France, then he went back to studios to record Les Sénégalaises, his second album in 2004. For his third album Exactement in 2006, he continued playing Gypsy jazz, with a big band < heavy lyrics.
