Sinclair (real name Mathieu Blanc-Francard) was born on July 19, 1970 in Tours, France. His father Dominique was a sound engineer, his uncle Patrice was a TV host < his brother Hubert was a DJ under the moniker "Boom Bass". Mathieu quickly gave up school to play guitar < piano. His influences were Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix < of course Prince. In 1993, Sinclair released his first album, recorded in his flat, playing every instrument. Que Justice Soit Faite ! touched young people with its funk style < Sinclair formed a band with 9 musicians, "Le Système Sinclair".
In 1995, Sinclair released his second album Au Mépris Du Danger, followed by his third album La Bonne Attitude in 1997, concerts < promotions became more important < Sinclair received awards. Sinclair was back in 2001 with Supernova Superstar, recorded in studio Labomatic. The same year, he married actress Emma De Caunes < their daughter Nina was born in 2002. Sinclair went on tour in France, Europe < Canada with his funky style again. In 2004, he released Comme Je Suis, a double album including a Best Of < a studio album. In 2006, Morphologique was still faithful to Sinclair's style.
