It all began back in March 1989 without too much thought or too much planning and without any specific goal in mind- the birth of SKANKIN PICKLE. Hailing from the South Bay, SKANKIN' PICKLE began playing their own brand of "PUNK/SKA" locally almost immediately after forming (April 1989- San Jose State University). Known for their bizzare, high energy live performance and being the hardest working bands around, SKANKIN' PICKLE has played your basic hole-in-the-wall-smells-like-vomit clubs to the most famous theatres throughout the US (including Hawaii) as well as Mexico and Canada. Along the way, they have played with such acts as BAD MANNERS, THE TOASTERS(Very Kewl Band!), BAD RELIGION(Another Kewl Band), NO DOUBT(Sorry to Admit to it!!), PRIMUS (They Trully Suck!!), ZIGGY MARLEY(A Great Reggaeing Guy), RANCID (what can i say they rock!!),and NOFX(Same goes for these guyz!!)
