Formed in early high school by two best friends, Socratic started out as a mediocre punk rock outfit that was limited to power chord rock and cover songs. The current lineup, Duane Okun (Guitar/Vocals), Tom Stratton (Drums), Kevin Bryan (Guitar/Vocals) and Adam Swider (Bass), has proven to be a much more mature musical style, blending influences from all different genres in today's music. "It's Getting Late," the band's debut EP, was recorded in the summer of 2002 at Portrait studios and produced by Chris Badami. Since then, Socratic has shared the stage with nationally renowned acts such as New Found Glory, Finch, The Starting Line, Something Corporate, Glassjaw, Dashboard Confessional, Thursday, Midtown, and many more.
