The Honor System had been speeding down the road of music long before their conception in 1999. Derived from members of some of Chicago's finest bands, The Honor System is fighting back up the ranks to take over all that is known of independent music. Their sound cannot be easily compared to other bands in the scene. Thus, making them stand alone at the top of their own spectra with their hard rock version of punk infused roots. Headed and fueled by Dan Hanaway's politically charged, and at times dark lyrics, are only the predecessors to the intricate guitar work of Chris Carr and Tyler Wiseman. Along with the drumming of Rob DePaola, this band has set out on a course that could never be duplicated. After releasing their first full length, "Single File" on Asian Man Records, they immediately hit the road extensivly touring the United States. Their sophomore release, "100% Synthetic," a combined effort of Double Zero Records with a CD version and a Vinyl version later on Grey Flight Records, was also followed by a couple national tours. The time on the road gave the band a new focus, including changes to the line up, which have turned out to be for the better tenfold. Providing The Honor System with an emergence of new ideas and energy, they took time away from touring to write material for the much-anticipated full-length release on Grey Flight Records. The time taken away from the public eye have allowed the pieces of The Honor System to fall into place, and they have never sounded better. (Grey Flight Records)
