The Insyderz, a band that rode the 1996-98 ska wave, is the subject of an upcoming compilation album from KMG Records entitled Tale of the Comet ?The Insyderz Collection, due in stores March 27. The set gathers 22 songs on one disc, including four previously unreleased tracks, radio mixes, b-sides, compilation contributions, and top cuts from all four of the band's albums to date ?Motor City Ska, Skalleluia, Fight of My Life, and Skalleluia Too. Like other ska bands, The Insyderz' sound has gradually shifted over to a less fad-susceptible rock foundation. The group has also announced that it will no longer embark on national concert tours but will instead be getting more involved with local youth ministries and spending more time with family. However, by releasing Tale of the Comet, The Insyderz want it known that they are still an active band.
