The Prize Fight formed after many headaches and heartaches over the breakups of our previous bands. However, all six of the members has chosen to look at these turn of events, not as unfortunate endings, but as a golden opportunity to create a sound unlike any they are familiar with. By blending the sound of a poppy, melodic punk band with a two-piece horn section, the Prize Fight have ruined any chance of fitting into any one specific genre.
Above all else, The Prize Fight believes that an awesome stage show is the key to attracting an audience. We believe that if an audience sees how hard a band is working to show them that they love what they are doing, it makes it easier for the audience to relate to their music. The Prize Fight sincerely loves to play. It doesn’t matter if there are 500 kids or 5 kids at a show. We will play our hearts out every time because that is what we love to do more than anything else in the world.
