Tim Curry was born Timothy James Curry on Friday, April 19, 1946 in Grappenhall, England. His parents were Patricia and Reverend James Curry. They met in Malta and got married in Egypt. He has one sister who was born in Egypt. His parents traveled a lot (he was conceived in South Africa and born in England), and the the family moved to Hong Kong for a while before returning to England. Tim attended a junior school in Plymouth, England for four year before switching to a boarding school in Bath. Lastly he spent five years at school in Kingswood. He was a soprano in a church choir from the age of six and began acting at age ten.

At the age of 12, Tim's father died, and the family moved to London. After school, Tim worked on boats in the Mediterranean breifly. Next, he did some traveling- Belguim and Morocco, before heading to France, where he began school at Birmingham University. He eventually began finding work in theatres, and after landing his role as Woof in the original London cast of Hair, his career took off. His mother died not so long ago. He now lives in LA with his dogs. He is single and doesn't have any children.
