Underneath the Gun was a Deathcore band from Corona, California that frequent the Showcase Theatre (the local venue of choice) and not to mention frequenting their churches.

Underneath The Gun have 3 records to their name: “You Prepare the Bodies, I’ll Prepare the Ice” and “The Awakening.” The latter being a full length LP released on This City is Burning Records which contained multiple tracks from their first EP, and the previous being an independently released CD.

The third release to be purged by Underneath the Gun, came alas their signing to Ferret Records (Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, Gwen Stacy, etc.) dubbed “Forfeit Misfortunes”, it’s their first album for Ferret, released on Jan. 20, 2009.

Their latest album received mixed reviews, because of the band drastically changing their sound from a brutal deathcore sound that, “The Awakening” had, to a more technical deathcore sound that “Forfeit Misfortunes” had.

Underneath The Gun broke up as of 5-19-09 due to medical reasons concerning their vocalist. They played their last show at Spring Breakdown 5-24-09 in Pomona, CA.
