VENDAVAL was born in November 2002 thanks to the members of the band NÖRTHWIND, Txema Trinidad (voice), Miguel Fernández (bass) and Fernando Argüelles (drums) in addition with Luis Fernández (guitars), who was also creator of the same band, composing and recording its first album "Viento del Norte".
The idea is changing the pure "Epic Power Metal" stile, with lyrics in Spanish about epic literature, with dragons and knights offered during the long career of NÖRTHWIND, trying now to surprise with a mixture of pure traditional Heavy Metal, with tough rhythms, direct and hard songs, without symphonic arrangements and lyrics, in Spanish too, about different motives.
Since the beginning, the discography Goi, from Guipuzcoa, had backed them up in the project. They also took care some year ago about NÖRTHWIND and will be in charged of the distribution of the first studio album from VENDAVAL.
Arkaitz Carrasco recorded this first album in the Sound Source studios and it is available in the market since middle of June 2003.
VENDAVAL proposes a tough and hard live show, combining the experience of its members with a great display of energy and choreography.
With VENDAVAL, the power of the Heavy Metal has come.
