Véronique Marie-Line Sanson was born on April 24, 1949 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. Daughter of a lawyer, she started playing the piano. In 1966, during summer holiday, Véronique < her sister Violaine met François Bernheim < founded a duet, Les Roche-Martin. Véronique left university < went to recording studios, where she met Michel Berger. The duet recorded 2 7", unsuccessful, so Véronique went solo. In 1972, she released her first album Amoureuse. Her voice's vibrato < jazzy pop/rock music attracted audience. The following year, she went to the United States < married Stephen Stills. In 1974, their son Christopher was born < Véronique recorded albums like Vancouver.
In 1983, divorced < back in France, she released an album < went on tour in 1985. She joined the project "Les Enfoirés" < played with a symphonic orchestra in 1989. In 1993, she received a Victoire De La Musique for "Female Artist", following her album Sans Regrets. In 1995, Véronique married Pierre Palmade, then released her album Indestructible. The following year, D'Un Papillon À Une Etoile included covers of Michel Berger's songs. Then Véronique disappeared because of alcohol problems. She came back in 2004 with her album Longue Distance, made with her son, it was a real come-back.
