According to recent reports the "Undastatement" rapper 2 Chainz aka Tity Boi has been released from behind bars, after he got arrested in NYC for wearing through an airport a 4-finger "brass knuckles" ring. The rapper explains his arrest saying: "They tried to assassinate my character, they tried to assassinate my swag."

2 Chainz has been released from behind bars after briefly detained for carrying a "brass knuckles" ring through an airport, but he's not too happy about it. The Playaz Circle rhymer was upset because police confiscated the jewels. Talking to MTV News in an exclusive telephone interview soon after the event, 2 Chainz added: "It was just a negative dilemma earlier where someone misconstrued a piece of jewelry for a weapon and stuff." "Me just trying to explain it was getting too frustrating, me just trying to explain my occupation and then when they finally got to the jail and everybody knew who I was, then they started calling their kids and putting me on the phone with their kids. It was like a weird experience."

After spending eight to nine hours in jail, he was released but the rapper said that he never got his ring back. "Yeah, they took it from me," he stated. "They took the Louis [Vuitton] case that I actually keep the jewelry in, they took that. I couldn't believe it."

At the same time, he posted on his Twitter page: "Sorry to alll the negative people who wanted me out the way...kant let u have the game bak that ez..." He added, "And oh yeh they took my Louis V. traveling case... Smh! Petty I got that from Saudi Arabia...Materials kan b replaced!2blessed2stress. A RING THOUGH!!!"

2 Chainz was taken in jail for misdemeanor possession of a weapon in the 4th degree, and he eventually pleaded guilty to a lesser, unspecified charge. Back then, he was at New York City's LaGuardia Airport about to fly to North Carolina for a concert.
