It sounds like a pagan word, recited in some forgotten Wicca rite. And like their name, Tuung’s music suitably evokes bucolic scenes with hazy alchemical magic gilding the darkened peripheries of the woods....full text |

| Comments of the Inner Chorus is the second full-length album from the British digital-folk collective Tunng, and as with all proper folktales it immediately plunges its audience deep into the phantasmal wilderness. | Two of my favourite records this year, Adem's 'Love And Other Planets' and Final Fantasy's 'He Poos Clouds' were both able to count amongst their numerous virtues a definite sense of purpose and direction, based around their own seperate but equally worthy themes. Not to say that a record needs a theme mind you, or even direction, but it at least proves that the music a concept can frame has been carefully thought through, resulting in something, at the very least, thought-provoking. ...full text |
