HAVING shaken off the shackles of Creed with their debut album One Day Remains, it was probably a shock for Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips of Alter Bridge when their record company started to put pressure on them to ditch their new vocalist Myles Kennedy and get back together with ousted Creed frontman Scott Stapp.
It is little surprise that they told the label what they could do with their contract and found another deal. Blackbird is proof that they made the right decision, as it is Kennedy’s contribution which is the most striking development....full text |

| Overview: Despite this being only the second go around for Alter Bridge album-wise, the four members of this dare I say "super group" have been doin' the damn thing for a good while now. After Tremonti and Scott Phillips teamed up with the then ex-bassist of their former little pet project Creed disbanded, the trio recruited former Mayfield Four vocalist Myles Kennedy and handed him the job of fronting what we now know as Alter Bridge....full text |
