| Yes the Dresden Dolls are from Boston rather than Dresden. However, for reasons I will explain, after listening to Yes Virginia I am convinced Dresden serves as the perfect adoptive thematic and stylistic home for this band. | The Dresden Dolls had quite some success with their debut album. On this record are present the sympathetic songs Coin Operated Boy and Girl Anachronism. Their first recording brought them all around the globe to do concerts and resulted in a support slot for NIN on Trent Reznor’s own request.
