Future - Pluto review Future initially planned on releasing his debut Pluto on January 24th, but the LP is no longer on track to release this month.

According to DDotOmen.com, the Atlanta, Georgia native’s first album has been pushed to February 21st. No explanation has been given regarding the LP’s delay.

In the meantime, the “Tony Montana” rapper is gearing up for the release of his mixtape Astronaut Status, releasing January 12th on LiveMixtapes.com. Watch a trailer for the mixtape below....full text

Future, who is the cousin of Dungeon Family producer Rico Wade (hence the location), began his ascent to rap superstardom only two short years ago. From 2010 to early 2011, Future released three mixtapes, 1000, Dirty Sprite, and True Story, which featured the single, “Tony Montana,” garnering him mainstream success, in addition to his feature appearance on the hit radio single, “Racks,” by YC.

The last four songs on the album, “Long Life the Pimp” featuring Trae the Truth, and “Homicide” featuring Snoop Dogg, “Turn on the Lights”, and “You Deserve It” are all decent records. “Homicide” is one of Snoop’s better feature appearances. Future remarked that he got a phone call from his manager who stated, “Snoop got you one,” referring to his appearance on the album. The album does tend to get repetitive, but Future never claimed to be an extraordinary lyricist. What makes his album are hard, driving, bass beats and catchy hooks that are in their own way mesmerizing....full text

Future has had a great run over the last year, finally breaking out of the shadow of his smash hit “Racks” and solidifying himself as much more than a one-hit wonder. Future is officially one of the hottest newcomers in the game—in fact he’s, well, the future. Just about every ATLien has been bumping his mixtapes from the breakout 1000 to his latest, Astronaut Status. But now he’s blasting off with the new album, and judging by the title he’s aiming for the farthest reaches of the solar system.

Future’s already tested the waters with his fans by holding two listening sessions for the new album—one at the Stankonia studio in Atlanta and the other recently in New York City. Fortunately for us, we were able to skip the crowds to have an exclusive private preview of Pluto at the Epic offices. We even got a taste of the bonus tracks—“Paradise”, “Fishscale” and “Brain On Drugs”—that will be added to the official release once it hit stores. But enough chit-chat. Let’s find out if Mr. Turn Up has got one for the masses....full text

1. The Future Is Now ft. Big Rube - Big Rube explains the beginnings of Future being out of this world and being the G he is, and how he is on Pluto.

2. Parachute ft. R.Kelly - Kells dear god! You have a verse on your hear, my god this find was a golden gift from the R&B gods. One of the favorite cuts of mine on here.

3. Straight Up - Yo on the real the horns on this songs that bring in Future are >>>>>>. Future's first half of the album are all killers and just dynamite. This maybe my favorite beat on this whole album.

4. Astronaut Chick - My dudes Future has love songs too. Dedicated to his outer space girls who have his heart. Aw ain't that sweet.

5. Magic (Remix) ft. T.I. - One of Future's biggest cuts he had previous to this album. But for this he pulls out the big guns with T.I. who does tear the track up and does his thing to start the song off. Future tries to keep up with TIP but yaknow can't do it......full text
