| Considering how many people seem to eat up everything that Me First and the Gimme Gimmes put out, it occurred to me that it’s strange that there aren’t more bands doing cover albums. Then it dawned on me: who could compete with the Gimmes? The band is a veritable who’s who in the punk rock music scene – members of this supergroup are from Lagwagon, Swingin’ Utters, NOFX, and even Foo Fighters, and there is a distinct charm found on each Gimmes album that makes it even more than a sum of its parts....full text |
