Review : Starfield - The Kingdom
Indie Vision Music
Starfield has come back on the scene with an impressive fifth release! Each song has the signature sound for which this band is known and has been perfecting for so many years. As always, Tim Neufeld’s vocals are flawless with what can be called nothing but heartfelt emotion. I am also glad to hear Jon get a chance to show off his voice on lead instead of only background vocals, since he is quite talented as well. This band is still making great music after going independent and losing some members, and they certainly are one of the best modern worship bands around. This album will once again demonstrate that Starfield has the ability to impress and solidify their longtime fan base and at the same time win over new fans. ...full text

Christian Music Zine
After listening to this album multiple times through, it’s fair to say that not being on a record label actually works in Starfield’s favour. Their sound has matured, with Tim’s vocals shining in every track. Starting off with ‘Natural Disaster’, a drum loop and guitar solo take me back to the early Third Day years, then an electronic Tim Neufield gives us a very different Starfield sound. Surprisingly catchy, Tim proclaims ‘without you [God], I’m a natural disaster…’, highlighting the need for salvation, otherwise we all wreck havoc without lives. Jesus is the fixer.Tim as at his best lyrically and vocally, and, after not being that much of a Starfield fan, I am completely sold now. With tons of potential singles and songs that have impacted me, I pray that the next chapter of your journey will be awesome, and as exciting as before, guys! Well done!...full text
Play loud the radio
The game-changing songs for Starfield were "Rediscover You" and "The Saving One" from their The Saving One album, released in 2010. "Rediscover You" was their radio single and they gave away an acoustic version of "The Saving One" on Twitter. I think that was the reason for my signing up for Twitter... to get that song. Both songs made me take notice of Starfield. I was able to get a copy of The Saving One, and it's a great album with more great songs like "No Other Saviour," "Declaration of Dependence," "Top Of Our Lungs," and "Something To Say." Definitely an album worthy to be in any collection. But it's not the album I'm reviewing today. The Kingdom was released a couple weeks ago, and it's the best one yet....full text
