 The term "supergroup" tends to make me cringe. Invariably, so-called supergroups are either made up of former members of existing bands well past their prime, or of survivors of rock and roll suicides. The band is fronted by Filter vocalist Richard Patrick, along with brothers -- and former Stone Temple Pilots bandmates - (guitarist) Dean DeLeo and (bassist) Robert DeLeo, and rounded out by drummer Ray Luzier. In Stone Temple Pilots, the DeLeo brothers -- guitarist Dean and bassist Robert -- were responsible for a lot of the Seventies classicism and pop-song sense in that band's bang.
