Ah, that's better. There's always been a touch of prissiness to Soulwax, if you want my penny's worth. You know, on record they have nearly always made music that sounded like it deserved to be played in the third room of a half decent club on a Thursday at 10pm, rather than the main room of a fucking proper club on a Friday at one thirty. The problem with 'Any Minute Now' seemed to be (and now obviously was) Flood's rockist production work making them a massive cumbersome drag, which, as anyone who has seen their gimlet eyed live massacres, is not their natural state of being....full text
