| Strange that Sparklehorse are so often and so happily lumped with the alt.country brigade. For all that there's the odd song like Return to Me with carefully picked guitar over downbeat atmospherics, their latest is essentially a pop album. OK, so it's psychedelic pop music that's as unwieldy and as spaced-out as you might expect from the preposterous title....full text |
