| The Londoners’ 2005 debut Capture/ Release , a sharp work about work, was often hard work for the listener, but their second effort is clever fun. Suspicious Eyes is as tuneful as a song about paranoid commuters can get, We Danced Together is catchy, while When Tom Cruise Cries is as good as its title. The witty Alan Donohoe remains a better lyricist than singer, but this taut guitar pop only occasionally slips into emulation....full text |
